COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUE

Born in Buenos Aires 24 August 1899 - died in Geneva 14 June 1986


A plaque which will commemorate Borges' stay in Geneva will be affixed to the building in which he spent the last years of hi life.

The ceremony will be held on Saturday 12 June, 1999, at 11 : 30AM on the corner of No 26 Grand'Rue and the Ruelle du Sautier.

A concert will be given by a Quintet from the Lancy-Geneva Orchestra, conduced by Roberto Sawicki, at the Saint-Germain Church on the rue des Granges. Mr. Hermán Ormeño will give a poetry reading.
